I have always been fascinated by massage’s ability to heal. In my opinion, anything that keeps you out of the operating room and off pain meds is worth exploring. As a long-time sufferer of back pain due to degenerative disc disease with multiple herniated discs, I know how pain can ruin your life and make simple tasks near impossible. Massage does a fantastic job of keeping my chronic back pain at bay and it can help you too! Thanks to massage, I have been able to participate in roller derby, Tae Kwon Do, kickboxing and boxing…even with my “crappy” back. What are the things YOU wish you could do? One of the things I love about being in private practice is that I have the freedom to be creative and combine different types of treatments to get the best results. I’m not stuck delivering a cookie cutter massage that the owners decided upon, I can develop the most effective treatment plan for YOU and YOUR PROBLEMS. I have a lot of tools in my massage therapist toolbox that I use to help you. In addition to my massage certification, I have advanced training in Orthopedic Massage from The Center for Pain Management, and I’m certified in Contemporary Cupping Methods by the International Cupping Therapy Association. I’m also TPI Level 1 certified by the Titleist Performance Institutue and am a certified Tennis Performance Trainer through the International Tennis Performance Association. But what does all that mean? My golf and tennis training helps me address pain, injuries and dysfunction specific to those sports. But that’s just my speciality, the fact is…I can help anyone relieve their pain. From athletes to weekend warriors to couch potatoes and everyone in between, if you have pain I want you in my office. I’m also a continuing education junkie, I attend lots of seminars (both in person and online), and I stay current with the latest developments in massage techniques, pain science, sports medicine, physical therapy…anything that will help me better treat YOU. When you want your car to run better bring it to your mechanic. When you want your body to run better bring it to me! I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Call me at (781)780-2480 and let’s talk about how I can help you! Be well, Stephanie
