Christina McKenzie first became a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist in 2000, following transition from graduate study and employment in the field of Physical Therapy. In 2017, she shifted focus from a business management career, and opened the private practice of Mossy Rock Massage in Winston-Salem, NC. Her background in allopathic medicine and allied health has developed with a therapeutic approach to massage and bodywork, as a complementary and alternative medicine specialization that may serve to improve the well-being of her clients.

Christina integrates various massage modalities as a comprehensive approach to each session, best indicated by thorough intake and physical assessment. She allows ample opportunity to fully discuss the client condition before beginning the session, and creates space for feedback and follow-up to end the visit. To accompany a soothing Swedish massage, she may apply deep tissue techniques, mechanical percussive therapy, joint mobilizations, myofascial release, and other methods to enable calming neuromuscular effects.
