Jessie Owens is a certified massage therapist, performing artist, and choreographer. She is the owner of Fulcrum Massage and Bodywork. A graduate of the Wellness Massage Center and Institute in St. Albans, VT, she brings her experience with movement to her bodywork and her bodywork experience to her movement. Because every body has individual needs, Jessie uses a variety of modalities to create customized massage treatments. 

She holds a B.A. in dance from Smith College in Northampton, MA. Dance has taught her that the receptors in the fascia of the human body are constantly seeking sensation through movement and touch. Bodywork has taught her that chronic pain is a common response to a deficiency of these things. She believes in the preventative power of bodywork in its ability to give the soft tissues of the human body the vital feedback needed to facilitate healing and to promote optimal health. She endeavors to educate her clients that self-care and preventative healthcare are not luxuries, but necessities. Movement is life!
