When I was 22 I began studying Hypnosis. What I found was that Hypnosis built on the Meditation techniques I had been practising for over 10 years. I became a Master Hypnotist and earned a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from The Pacific Institute for Advanced Hypnotherapy (PIAH) in Vancouver, BC. For over 5 years I have used Hypnosis to help individuals harness the power of their own mind, and regularly find new training opportunities to increase the range of hypnotic sessions I am able to offer.
Both Meditation and Hypnosis are incredibly versatile, and similar. I describe Meditation as 'Mild Hypnosis' because the brain responds similarly to a meditative or hypnotic state. I leave the decision to each of my clients about whether they wish to begin with Meditation or jump straight into Hypnosis. During the Consultation Session, I learn what the potential client is comfortable with (Guided Meditations or Hypnotherapy) and create personalised sessions tailored to their desired outcome. If a goal is not already listed under my services, I encourage anyone to call or email me to inquire - there are too many uses for Meditation and/or Hypnosis to list and I may be able to create a new session!
