"Bring Your Body Back Into Balance"

Daniel has been involved with movement and exercise his whole life. He grew up playing every sport imaginable, which of course led to various injuries. After spending hours in rehabilitation, he became interested in ways to prevent and manage these injuries better.  Thus began his quest... what is the best way to take care of one's body and avoid injury, while still staying active?

Daniel has been involved with movement and exercise his whole life. He grew up playing every sport imaginable, which of course led to various injuries. After spending hours in rehabilitation, he became interested in ways to prevent and manage these injuries better.  Thus began his quest... what is the best way to take care of one's body and avoid injury, while still staying active?

Daniel attended The University of Northern Colorado, majoring in Sport and Exercise Science, and Nutrition.  This rigorous study included courses in exercise physiology, anatomical kinesiology, biomechanics, cardiac rehabilitation, motor learning and development, strength and conditioning, prevention and care of sports injuries, exercise assessment and programming, nutrition, and psychology. He gained a profound understanding about how the body works, and how to exercise safely. Especially valuable was an internship at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, where he provided personal training, fitness assessments, and exercise programming to cancer survivors.

Daniel's first professional experience was at the YMCA in Littleton.  He was asked to lead the "Stations of Balance" class and it soon doubled in size. Additionally, he led a "Women on Weights" class, and started a "Speed and Agility" camp for kids. Later he was trained and led the "LiveSTRONG at the Y" cancer exercise program. Members involved said he is very compassionate and a great listener.  Besides leading classes, Daniel trained clients on an individual basis.  In 2017, he was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" award for his outstanding accomplishments during his first 2 years of YMCA service.

During his time at the YMCA, people came to him with various chronic injuries, movement dysfunctions, and postural deviations that he was not equipped to manage. Wanting to help them, he began researching other modalities and discovered the many healing benefits of massage therapy. Through massage, he could help people recover from injury, move more efficiently, and manage pain!  Daniel attended The Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2018.  His 15-month long training included a vast array of massage styles: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Posture and Movement, Thai, Hot Stone, Energy Techniques, CranioSacral, Reflexology, Sports Massage, and numerous other therapeutic methods.  He received his license and continues to enhance his knowledge through workshops and classes on healing, bodywork, and exercise.

In 2018, Daniel was proud to start his own business: Corrective Athletics, where he enjoys partnering with people to help them reach their goals, whether it's to increase their fitness, manage their pain, or both!  Training and massage is Daniel's profession; helping people is his passion.
