Massage Therapy = Healthy Mind Body and Well-Being

I first got into massage therapy when I was a teen and was intrigued how muscles worked. I always wondered what muscles looked as I was at the gym and would see bodybuilders. That is when i knew that I wanted to work in that field helping those people, long before I knew there was a specialized modality called Sports Massage. This is just one of many that I specialize in now. I knew I had a real gift for helping people and so I began my journey in 2005. With my chair or table in hand, I've be...

With my chair or table in hand, I've been to many relay for life events, senior centers, hospitals, and many more. I wanted to share my gift with everyone and educate people that massage therapy is NOT a luxury service but a VITAL part of your well-being.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but deeper pressure. It is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Reflexology

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the person's health.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a natural therapy in which warmed stones are positioned on parts of the client's body of to maximize the therapeutic benefit. The heat from the stones helps your muscles relax, allowing the massage therapist to manipulate your deep tissues more effectively. Overly tense muscles can hinder the massage procedure, so if your muscles are extremely tight or stiff, the heated stones may provide the extra relaxation you need for the massage to be beneficial in releasing tension and easing sore muscles.

Swedish

Swedish massage therapy involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.

Pregnancy

Prenatal Massage has been known to lower anxiety, decrease back & leg pain, improve sleep, decrease levels of the stress hormone nor-epinephrine, increase levels of serotonin and dopamine, decrease levels of cortisol (a stress indicator common in depressed pregnant patients), and an overall improvement in mood.

Chair Massage

Seated massage is great for on the go quick relief. I love taking my chair to different events and charities. Chair massages are done while you're seated fully clothed in a portable, specially designed chair. They usually involve a massage of your neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands.
