Emily Hansford graduated from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a BS in Health Promotion & Behavior. She then completed her American Council on Exercise personal training certification in 2018, and has since been working as a personal trainer focusing on holistic health and wellness through physical fitness.
Her passion for health and fitness comes from her own personal journey, which started in 2010 with a knee injury. She changed her diet and exercise habits, lost 40 pounds, and took up running in 2011. She found that improving her overall health and wellness allowed her to accomplish things she'd never dreamed or imagined, such as completing a half marathon or hiking in Hawaii. She also realized the devastating effects of injuries, having dealt with various lower extremity and back issues over the years. Helping others overcome injuries and prevent future injuries is a key aspect of her work as a personal trainer.
She will teach you exercises and techniques for strengthening your body and preventing injuries, helping you improve your health holistically and mindfully for lasting prevention for injury and chronic disease.
