Michelle believes that every body can benefit from more self care. As an active kid in the suburbs of Boston, Michelle grew up participating in a wide range of activities and athletics. After an ankle fracture derailed summer travel plans, Michelle became interested in sports medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Northeastern University, and then completed a master's program in Human Physiology at Boston University, coordinating healthcare for the women's ice hockey team and researching functional and developmental movement patterns. Looking to expand her manual therapy skills, Michelle then attended the Cortiva Institute for Massage Therapy in Watertown, MA. She graduated and opened bodywork+ in 2014, and she continues to seek out new learning opportunities related to manual therapy, motor control, injury assessment, corrective exercise, strength training, and overall health and wellness.
