Pregnancy

I have been certified as a Pregnancy Massage Therapist for over seven years. I received my certification in 2011 from Kate Jordan at Potomac Massage Training Institute. I then began working at Spa on The Hill, where I was able to develop my Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage Skills. Two years later I opened my first location specializing in Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage Therapy in Dupont Circle in NW Washington DC. Later on in November of 2014 I opened my official location serving Pregnant and Postnatal women and families on Capitol Hill in South East Washington DC.

Therapeutic Massage

I have been a practicing Massage Therapist for over fourteen (14) years. I received my education from Potomac Massage Institute, which at the time was located in Washington DC. I studied Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pregnancy, Geriatric, Sports, Myofascial Release and Therapeutic Touch. I also took Continuing Education to further my experience. These classes included Reiki Master, Oncology, Massage During the Childbearing years, and Child and Infant Massage. I also received training my Thai Yoga Training at an Ashram in Charlottesville. In combining techniques from each of these different modalities, I have been able to build the skills to work with most musculoskeletal problems, as well as providing measurable change after each session.

Massage Instructor - Lead Instructor

While developing my skills as a Massage Therapist, I began teaching Massage Therapy at Everest College, a Vocational school in McLean VA. I taught as the lead instructor of the program and developed the course material to teach students the skills and knowledge needed to become fully trained and licensed therapists. Coursework included Pathology, Anatomy, Ethics, Business, Kinesiology, a variety of Massage Modalities, and CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross.

Massage Therapist

I have worked for the following Spa's until I started my own Pregnancy and Therapeutic Massage Practice in Washington DC. Modern Nails in McLean and Pentagon City, The Mandarin Oriental, LA Fitness, and Spa on the Hill. I currently own my Practice Orange Wellness, located on Barracks Row in SE Washington DC.
