After receiving my Bachelors of Fine Art from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2003 I was intent on going back for my masters to teach at a college level. I came across massage therapy through a friend and it seemed the perfect line of work to fund my future plans. I enrolled at Blue Heron Academy of Troy in the medical massage program and immediately fell in love with the limitless health benefits and endless applications. From pain relief to athletic recovery, the soothing touch of massage is but healing and rejuvenating. I realized instantly that this was the career for me and haven't looked back.
I began my massage career in April, 2007 by gaining experience in a chiropractic facility followed by a chain massage studio and private spa. In 2010, I was blessed with the opportunity to combine the best qualities of each to create a space for therapeutic massage with the feeling of luxury. As a long distance runner, I enjoy working with athletes of all kinds, knowing first hand the value of massage when it comes to athletic recovery. Over the years, I have added hot stone therapy, massage cupping, lymphatic drainage and oncology massage to my treatments sessions to enhance the benefits of massage. After a decade of massage experience I value the opportunity to get to know my clients and research specific techniques that will increase their success during sessions.
