Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Acupressure & Thai Yoga Therapy
Twenty five years ago, Alissa was introduced to Thai Yoga Therapy which helped her experience healing from chronic intestinal illness. This inspired Alissa to study Thai Yoga Therapy in Los Angeles and then travel to Chiang Mai, Thailand to complete her training and certification. In doing this work, Alissa recognized that the meridian system in Thai Yoga Therapy was very powerful and, in an effort to understand more about the meridian system, she studied acupressure, Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and Chinese medical massage (called TuiNa) at East-West Healing Arts Institute. At East-West, Alissa also took introductory courses in Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release and experienced her own healing jump to a new level, so she decided to pursue adding both of these modalities to her skillset. She has received advanced training and mentorship in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute and has done her Myofascial training through John Barnes.
Alissa has had great fun witnessing her clients experience dramatic shifts and deep healing from within. Alissa is passionate about providing a healing experience through listening, compassionate touch and skilled therapeutic massage. She is dedicated to helping people live healthier, happier lives.
In her private life Alissa enjoys West-African drumming, yoga, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing and being in nature with her husband and identical twin daughters.
