Dana's holistic approach to massage therapy is practical and focused, while remaining sensitive to the needs and concerns of her clients. She offers a variety of modalities to address a person’s many physical and energetic needs, from various types of massage therapy to aromatherapy. And her firm, yet fluid techniques promote a sense of relaxation while helping to ensure an effective result from the treatment.
Dana’s background, however, didn’t start with holistic body work. She began her career in the hospitality industry while attending college to earn her bachelor’s degree in business administration. At this time, her interest was also drawn to wellness, inspiring her to complete her first certification in massage therapy in 1999 while living in Michigan. Her career in hospitality really began to take off shortly after this certification, however, and holistic wellness was sidelined for a time.
Her hospitality career eventually landed her in Virginia Beach in 2005, and she discovered the Cayce Center (A.R.E.). The exposure gained from the offerings at A.R.E. then led her back into the holistic health and wellness field and her real passion: holistic wellness. Her true calling could no longer be denied. She began building on that first massage therapy certification earned in 1999.
Dana remains a student of her profession by continually pursuing additional advanced wellness and healing skills and techniques. To date, in addition to a Diploma for 500 hours of massage therapy training at the Alternative Healing and Licensed School – Michigan (1999), she has achieved the following: Diploma - 700 hours of massage therapy training – Cayce/Reilly School of Massage – Virginia (2014); Jin Shin Do – Windows of the Sky Acupressure Facial – Cayce/Reilly School; Reiki Master – Level I; and aromatherapy. Dana is a member in good standing of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professional (ABMP).
Her years of customer service in the hospitality industry, combined with her extensive experience in bodywork treating athletes and other active individuals, expectant mothers, or anyone seeking a genuinely holistic approach to their well-being, including pain relief, stress reduction, and general well-being will find themselves in good hands….Buddha’s Palm.
