Originally from Puerto Rico, I found my home in Venice at age 12. Football, basketball and baseball became my passion until I sustained a knee injury in High School. Unable to fully recover from the knee injury, my dreams of becoming a professional football or basketball player became obsolete.
I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my life since sports had been all consuming up until my injury. I found myself at odd jobs here and there while I attended a local community college. However, things began to change after seeing an athletic trainer assist an injured player during a football game. A light bulb went off in my head. This was what I wanted to do with my life. After researching the profession, I learned that most athletic trainers went to massage school prior to pursuing their professional training. I decided this was the route I was going to take. After going through my massage program, I began my career in massage prior to pursuing the profession of athletic trainer. However, after I helped the first person with a lower back injury, I found that this is where my true passion was. I have continued to grow my massage career since that time and am loving every moment.
