graduated massage school in 2001 and started practicing in 2003 after I
graduated from my bachelor's degree programs in Exercise Science and Nutrition.
I love practicing massage and I can't imagine not using it to help people. I
have experience with a variety of spa treatments, and I enjoy the creativity and
great products those allow me to use, especially if I get to incorporate hot
stones. The majority of my experience is in injury treatment massage including,
but not limited to: TMJ pain, headaches, whiplash, shoulder and back
pain. I have advanced training in deep tissue massage and injury treatment
modalities including myofascial and neuromuscular techniques and trigger point therapy. I am experienced with pregnancy massage as well. I trained with Klose
Training for my lymphatic certification, and I am certified by the Lymphology
Association of North America as a certified Lymphedema Therapist. I have used
lymphatic work to help reduce swelling, pain and inflammation for clients after
surgery and liposuction with great results. Lymphatic, a very light modality,
is particularly calming and great for pain management and anxiety. Despite
requiring a lighter touch lymphatic massage is surprisingly effective. I am
also trained in Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage as developed by Maka'ala Yates. I
typically design my massages specifically for each client's needs, so the
techniques I use may be light and calming for those who are sensitive or deeper
and more vigorous for someone needing a sports massage type approach. I can
also combine techniques for something in between. I'm happy to recommend the
techniques that will best meet your needs. I'm currently attending college
part-time to finish the prerequisites I need before applying to Physical
Therapy School. When I have time to relax I usually read books, work in our
garden or spend time with my family and our four cats Sammy, Punky, Dot and
Dash. I look forward to meeting you when you visit Twin Flame.
