Self care allows you to center and return to the person that you are meant to be.

Are you experiencing pain or discomfort in your body?   Is it due to an old injury/accident?  Do you currently play or have you played any type of sport in the past?  Does your job require you to perform activities that are repetitive? What are your sleeping habits?  What are your driving habits?  How would you rate your posture?  How are you sleeping?  Are you so "used to " your pain or discomfort that you "don't notice" any pain anymore?

Are you experiencing pain or discomfort in your body?   Is it due to an old injury/accident?  Do you currently play or have you played any type of sport in the past?  Does your job require you to perform activities that are repetitive? What are your sleeping habits?  What are your driving habits?  How would you rate your posture?  How are you sleeping?  Are you so "used to " your pain or discomfort that you "don't notice" any pain anymore?

Pain and dysfunction show up for a reason.  It is our body telling us that it's just not performing as well as it could be. These well known friends of ours can manifest as headaches, low back pain, neck/shoulder pain, and many more.  We need to become more aware of the way we use (and misuse) our vehicle to get us through this life.  What would it feel like to live in less or no pain?

About me:
In high school after volleyball practice, we would give massages by rolling the volleyball over each other's backs and legs.  I would always put the ball down and use my hands.  My friend told me that I "should do this for a living!".
After high school, I took a couple semesters at Tri-C and decided to go work in corporate America for a year and a half.

I had a terrible fall and fractured my jaw.  I spent 6 hours at the hospital.  I followed up with a surgeon who wanted to wire my jaw shut for 6 weeks. Being 19 at the time, I had no interest in doing that.  "I can't move my jaw anyway, so what's the point?"  I had not received any care after the accident.

Two months later, I got out of bed and couldn't move my neck.  It was "stuck".

This brought me to my first chiropractor visit in 2000.  My muscles were so tight that I could not get onto  the table to be adjusted.  My Dr. gave me a natural muscle relaxer to allow my body to relax enough that it wasn't guarding to allow the adjustment.

My friend would help by putting his "healing" hands on my broken up jaw.  Together, we practiced visualizing the jaw mending itself.

I received regular chiropractic adjustments thereafter.  One day, I came into work at the office and someone put the Plain Dealer on my chair.  There was a picture of a man at the Cleveland Clinic receiving Massage and Reiki Therapy.  That day I started looking into Massage Therapy schools.

During this time, I had experienced my first Reiki Therapy session and decided to become a Reiki Practitioner. I was certified in Reiki Level 1 in 2001.  I let the office job go soon after and started my journey as a Massage Therapist.

I received my license through the State Medical Board of Ohio in 2003 and have had my own practice since.  I have a strong passion for helping people feel better, more relaxed, and increasing movement in their bodies.

I have a unique set of gifts and experience obtained over the last 13 years working in Spa settings as well as in Chiropractic Offices.

I love my children, all children, nature, photography, photographs of nature, yoga, photographs of yoga, volleyball, baseball and basketball, gardening, vegetables, eating healthy, nutrition and much more.  I seek beauty and simplicity in all things.
