"If you don't take care of your body, where are you going to live?"

Amy does corrective and structural bodywork. This goes beyond the medical or sports massage. Her techniques have roots in osteopathic principles. Amy does corrective and structural bodywork. This goes beyond the medical or sports massage. Her techniques have roots in osteopathic principles. She uses a blend of therapies and the governing principles of anatomy and tensegrity to resolve the core issue to your current symptoms be it from an old sport injury, repetitive strain, habituated posture, a car accident or tailbone fall.

She has studied Advanced Bodywork at the Ankrum Institute, as well as other studies on the west coast in Biodynamic Craniosacral and Visceral Manipulation. Her early career began with traditional and sports massage as well as myofascial release and trigger point therapy. During the last seven years, Amy’s work has progressed to advanced soft tissue manipulation techniques that help a variety of conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, TMJ, plantar fasciitis and chronic pain. Her background is one of pre-med, which involved much chemistry, physics, anatomy, physiology, and biology, as well as writing and dance performance.

During the dancing years, she needed to recover and get back on stage, so she learned about the body through her own recovery methods and yoga studies, which she now incorporates into her therapy. Her absolute joy is seeing the surprised look on clients’ faces as they feel good in their own bodies once again.

Amy also works on babies and children, and if you have a nice pet, she is known to help out animals from time to time.

Career Life

I volunteered with Tulsa Ballet members in 1997-1998 learning how to apply massage therapy to their dancer bodies and not to over-release the muscular tension and external rotation they had conditioned in their bodies. I volunteered with Oklahaven in Oklahoma City 2002 a non-profit children's chiropractic clinic where I worked on many children with cerebral palsy. I massaged their hyper-tense bodies, especially abdominal area as many suffered from constipation. If only I had already learned the Cranial and visceral work I do now! In my opinion, some of the best bodywork comes from Europe and Canada and that is why I choose to study and continue in that style of osteopathy. I almost went on after college to become a DO in this country, but I paused and reflected after so much schooling had burnt me out. Through an interesting winding path, I found my way to do effective techniques rooted in osteopathic principles as a bodyworker. My work has really evolved over the years, and I hope I never stop learning and integrating. I work on adults, children and babies.
