My interest in massage began as a young child. My father was a carpenter
and would come home with body aches, cramps and tension. He often
wanted me to step on his back to help him feel better. I appreciated
the response to my "therapy" back then, because he'd always come away
feeling soothed and relaxed. While I really didn't know what I was
doing or how it was working, the results sparked a deeper interest in
massage for me. As the years went on, I got way too big to step on his
back so I started pressing his back where he would feel knots or
tenderness. Soon it became second nature. I could easily feel and
attend to the areas requiring attention. I also learned how to do
specialty massage from my aunt on the Big Island of Hawaii. She was
taught by her husband, my uncle, who was considered an "Hawaiian Natural
Healer". I learned a few techniques to help out my mom who also
suffered from various muscle spasms and other tension and stress related
headaches. My love to help people and make them feel better inspired me
to attend a specialty school to learn new techniques and skills that
could help me be the best at what I enjoyed most.
I am a very social and outgoing person. I love to meet new people and
constantly learn new things. This helps immensely during my massage
sessions as I am aware of the importance of my customers' satisfaction
and relaxation.
