For the past two decades, Tzipora has been actively practicing as a midwife, postpartum doula, herbalist, yoga teacher and Craniosacral provider. She is passionate about women’s healthcare, informed choice and individualizing care to each family’s specific needs. It is Tzipora’s greatest joy to nourish mothers and to treat babies as the conscious sentient beings they are.

In 2003, Tzipora started teaching Yoga and began her studies in Plant Medicine, Permaculture, and Craniosacral therapy (CST) in the Southwest. She trained as a Craniosacral Therapist through the Upledger Institute and later went on to study CST with Midwife Carol Gray who specializes in working with infants and women during their pregnancy and postpartum time. During this period, she continued her education through the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda, focusing on Women’s Health & Spirituality. It was during this time that she awoke to her path as a Midwife, feeling inspired to attend women and families during such a sacred time in their lives.

Following her heart, Tzipora moved to Portland, OR in 2008 to start her midwifery career. There, she attended Birthingway Midwifery College where she obtained a B.S. in Midwifery and did her clinical training at a busy waterbirth center where she was fortunate to help with a variety of births including VBAC’s and breeches. In that time, she began to specialize in supporting families during the postpartum period as a doula both in private practice and also through a birth center, incorporating her knowledge of plant medicine, homeopathy, flower essences, placenta encapsulation, and Craniosacral therapy into care. Upon completing all of her studies and obtaining credentials as a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) and license through the state of Oregon (LDM), she traveled to Africa to work on the coast of Senegal volunteering in maternity clinics. Since then, Tzipora has worked in both private and group practice in Central OR as well as a Southern OR.

Having just relocated back to the Southwest from Oregon, Tzipora is enjoying a sabbatical from midwifery care, but is eagerly continuing to support families during pregnancy and postpartum through Passiflora Healing Arts www.passiflorahealing.com. In her personal life, Tzipora enjoys fiber arts, dancing, drumming, making herbal medicine, being in nature, and traveling outside the country to learn from and explore other cultures.
