Annette has been practicing bodywork on friends and family since the 1970's, and brings many diverse skills, long experience, broad knowledge and intuition to the table. She has studied acupressure/Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine, reflexology, aromatherapy, nutrition, exercise physiology, myofascial release, postural integration, yoga and energy medicine, as a conventional student and an autodidact throughout the last 20+ years. She combines her expertise in many modalities to create a Customized Integrative Massage for each client, each session.

She earned a certificate in therapeutic massage at Isothermal Community College in Columbus, NC, and is licensed as a therapeutic massage and bodywork practitioner in North and South Carolina.

She has also earned certificates as a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Karuna Reiki (tm) Master Teacher, and is a Reiki Shamanism Master Teacher. She edited and illustrated 6 books on energy medicine, written by J. P. Ewing, and published by Findhorn Press, in Scotland.

Her aim in providing massage is to facilitate relaxation and relief from stress symptoms, as well as supporting clients individual wellness goals. Relaxation promotes healing and rejuvenation of body and mind. Massage and energy therapy both support the body's natural healing processes and can be an important part of self-care, as well as recovery from injuries, surgeries or illness.

She is supporting the rapidly growing massage profession by being a Clinical Preceptor for Massage Therapy students at Spartanburg Community College in South Carolina, and Isothermal Community College in Columbus, NC, and also substitute teaching in Massage Therapy programs.
