Hello. My name is Sara Jones. I am a graduate of Mind Body Institute and a licensed massage therapist through the State of Michigan. My curiosity for built in healing mechanisms in the human body and love for massage therapy give me the desire to constantly grow my education. The body always wants to heal and find its optimal balance. I feel honored to assist in facilitating change in the ways I am able. I have studied and practiced Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Sports, Reflexology and Functional Normalization (form of craniosacral). I am currently offering Swedish massage (Relaxation) and Deep Tissue. It is my passion to incorporate tools from many modalities into every session!

My relationship with massage started after I survived a severe auto accident. I chose not to take prescription pain pills and relied on regular massage therapy and chiropractic care to manage chronic pain and find relief. During this time I also researched nutrition and adapted eating habits that supported my healing. Hippocrates said it well, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." On a long journey toward recovery, I began to understand , that not any one thing could heal me. Everything is interconnected. Mind. Body. Spirit. I am also a certified yoga instructor. For almost 3 years I taught a "Hot Yoga" class at Yen Yoga in downtown Traverse City.
