Hello! My name is Melissa Johnston and I am the founder of Massage Therapy with Melissa Johnston. Before Massage Therapy school I had studied Kinesiology and was preparing for a career in Personal Training.  I started my journey into Massage Therapy in 2016 after a personal injury left me searching for answers. I then went on to work inside of an amazing Physical Therapy clinic that allowed me to work in both of my passions, Exercise and Massage, which I believe have helped me become the Therapist I am today. I attended school at National Holistic Institute in Sacramento where I received Certification for Massage Therapist and Health Educator. I also hold Certifications with the National Academy of Sports Medicine for Correctional Exercise and Fitness Nutrition. In combination with the Physical Therapy Aid work, I completed each exercise session with a thorough massage of the injured area. This helped to insure proper lengthening and strengthening during rehabilitation and also helped me become more confident in assessing injuries as well as working on different pathologies such as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Cancer patients as well.

This will be available soon! My previous location was inside of a gym where I was able to help my clients strengthen their muscles as a part of their treatment plan. I am currently looking for the perfect location to be able to offer this once again.
