When you get to the end of your life, what do you want to look back on? This was the question I asked myself when my father died at the young age of 51. When you get to the end of your life, what do you want to look back on? This was the question I asked myself when my father died at the young age of 51. He had a severe back injury when I was small and received only surgery and prescription pain medication as a way to cope for the rest of his life. I remember the impact his pain and addiction had on our family. I also remember massaging his back, from the time I was very small, in an effort to bring him some comfort. I grew up in the opioid crisis and it drove me to find my passion.

Massage Therapy
Deep Tissue bodywork has more to do with the depth of the tissue than the depth of the pressure. Effective deep tissue work need not be painful but can be extremely effective. I have specialized training to work with difficult to access tissues including intraoral, iliopsoas/diaphragm (deep abdominal), subscapular, pelvic floor and anterior cervical in a safe and effective way.
Hot stones and hot towels can add a luxurious tone to any massage, even if it is clinical in nature, such as for injury rehab. Your nervous system responds and can accept and integrate differently with different stimulus. The varied temperature and texture of hot stones and towels invite a level of cooperation from your nervous system that is surprisingly effective.
With training in Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment techniques and Restorative Exercise and education I can reeducate your tissue toward its optimal alignment and educate you toward movement in your day to day activities that can keep you free from pain.
Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy, inspired by ancient forms of Eastern barefoot techniques, is a western adaptation of barefoot massage. I utilize my body weight and bare feet to apply a deeply relaxing and therapeutic massage. Gravitational force is combined with centrifugal and centripetal movements to induce deep relaxation, decrease pain and inflammation and create structural change in chronic soft tissue damage. Parallel wooden bars are used above for support, balance and safety.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, sometimes referred to as Gua Sha, Graston or therapeutic scraping. Very effective for scarred, adhered or congested tissue.
A comprehensive system for increasing options for movement and refining the proprioceptive sense.
NIR (Near Infrared) and visible red light are applied using FDA approved Class II medical devices to improve circulation, reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Red Light Therapy can provide effective relief and improved healing for many problems that can not tolerate massage or even touch such as very inflamed tissue, open wounds or recent incisions and neuropathy.
