Diana Durango

My favorite quote or personal statement

Write a little something to share who you are and what you represent. Business owners will create a separate business website in addition to this one, so please make sure to focus on yourself here. After all, potential clients want to know who they’ll be coming to see!

Some suggestions to get you started if you’re having difficulty:
  • Why did you become a bodyworker?
  • What is it about your work that you are most passionate about?
  • What types of problems are you most qualified to work on?

Yoga for the Actor

I have utilized a methodology of yoga that is similar to what many method actors require on stage and on screen. We go through asana practice, mindfulness meditation, and utilize an actor's workshop.

Cancer Patients

Beginning with my grandmother, I was able to utilize a yoga practice for people that have been diagnosed with cancer and for those in remission. Though it is not a cure for cancer, it has proven as an additive to the treatments to bring peace and aid in the mobility of the patients. It aided some of my students with coping with pain through meditation, as well as with the stress that comes with cancer.

Yoga for the Obese

I have been working with women in the area that are not at their desired weights and have found it hard to get into certain postures. The postures I utilize are easy on the body, and progress to a Flow class.

Core Yoga

This class, through collaboration with the Physical Therapist of the NY Knicks and Pittsburgh Pirates, was created for me to build up my core. I place my students through asanas that engage the core and shows results.
