Massage first peaked my interest when I injured myself while working as a barista. I had never placed much emphasis on movement or exercise, and slinging cappuccinos all day had taken a toll on my arms. I found myself stuck with tendonitis, an inflammation of the tendons, in my forearm. That spring I went to Maui, and I got my first professional massage in Pa'ia. The massage therapist asked questions about my injury, and showed me techniques I could do myself that could help get rid of the leftover pain.
The idea that I could learn how to help others find harmony in their own bodies was exhilarating to me. I didn't even wait to return to California - I started calling massage schools in the San Jose area that afternoon. I am now certified with the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC), and in July 2015 I will graduate the Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy program at the National Holistic Institute, College of Massage Therapy, with 1350 hours as a Certified Massage and Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist.
I currently offer Swedish and neuromuscular massage at studios on the Alameda in San Jose and Los Gatos Boulevard in Los Gatos.
I am 27 years old, and spend my free time dreaming of my future cat companion, burrowing my nose deeper into the pages of a book, and going on as many adventures as I can find. If you have any questions about me or my services, please feel free to contact me.
