Dr. Diana Herr is a native of Wisconsin and received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee.  While working in marketing for a large telecommunications company, she began to experience a myriad of musculoskeletal and other health issues from the stresses of sitting behind a desk and frequent travel.  Since traditional western medicine does not typically address these issues without medication, she sought out a more holistic approach and began receiving chiropractic care.   Due to the remarkable results that she received, Dr. Herr decided to pursue chiropractic as a career.

She attended National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois, where she completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine.  While pursuing her chiropractic degree, she began to witness the incredible benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and realized how both disciplines complement each other.  She completed her Master of Science in Acupuncture and was class Salutatorian.   As a former dancer and swimmer she also completed seminars in functional rehabilitation and is a candidate for her diplomat.   In order to provide a more integrative approach, Dr. Herr combines these disciplines tailored to each patient to help achieve optimum results.

During her time at National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Herr had the opportunity to complete an internship through the Jesse Brown VA treating veterans with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and other combat related health issues.   She has continued this work in Charleston as a WOC employee (work without compensation) at the Ralph H. Johnson VA as a member of their integrative pain team.   She also completed specialized training at John C. Stroger Hospital of Cook County Illinois providing patients with acupuncture as an alternative to drugs and surgery.    She truly enjoys working with patients from all walks of life.

In her free time, Diana enjoys staying fit and active through outdoor activities, cooking healthy meals, and exploring Charleston with her dog Fox.

She helped my hip pain

Diana takes the time to listen and digest what factors in your life and health need the most attention to restore health and contentment. Let her help you tackle the root cause of your health concerns, rather than focusing on the result would be what I would say to fellow clients: she really knows exactly what she is doing and sometimes there are several steps needed to get to a desired outcome. My sessions with her are always wonderful & restorative, and yesterday I walked away with so much peace and calm for the entire day. Thank you for your incredible expertise!
