Malina Armatys

Serving my clientele in Hampton Roads as a Spa Professional has enriched my life in way that I never imagine would be possible.

It's taken a while to get where I am today, but every step has been worth the trip.  I started out as a Massage Therapist over ten years ago and from there my Spa career has just continued to blossom.  I've had the honor of learning a few lesser known Massage techniques to be able to provide more variety to my clients, perhaps something different than they'd be able to find elsewhere.  Zen Shiatsu, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy and Sacred Lomi have really added immensely to my overall massage...

Zen Shiatsu, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy and Sacred Lomi have really added immensely to my overall massage style during the years.

Zen Shiatsu introduced me to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the path of thought for medical diagnosis in early years.  It was so very educational to learn that while the Ancient Chinese may have had a different method of reaching a diagnosis, that in Western Medicine, it mirrors the old thoughts with updated information.
My Ashiatsu certification allowed me to provide the deepest, broad-compression massage available in the United States for my clients who really wanted deeper pressure, but could never seem to get quite enough no matter the skill of the Massage Therapist.  Using my feet, gliding over the skin, allowing my weight to compress thick, dense muscle mass has been a favorite of my clients over the years.
I  became certified in Sacred Lomi, a Hawaiian Temple style massage early on and though I don't often have a chance to use it in it's fullest form, all of my massage, from Swedish to Deep Tissue, utilizes some of the benefits of this intense but soothing massage technique.  It is a long-time favorite of my own, one that has been a valuable tool over the years.
In addition to my established Massage Therapy practice, I've since returned to school, twice, in order to receive training to become both a Licensed Waxing Technician and a Licensed Cosmetologist (leaning more towards skin and cosmetics rather than hair).  Adding these credentials has allowed me to provide my clients with a good deal of the services they seek out in a Day Spa environment rather than having several providers.  I provide their massages, their body wraps or scrubs, a very relaxing, basic facial and any waxing or eyebrow tinting they might desire.
This has been invaluable as my clients and I have built a long-lasting relationship, allowing me the ability to aid them in noticing small changes over the years, that, at times, have been rather significant finds to their overall health.  Together, the client and myself, we've taken responsibility for their overall well-being and that has driven my passion to provide the best care I can for all my clients.
It continues to be my honor to serve them regularly.
