I first became introduced to the benefits of
massage through a book by Dr. Edgar Casey that we had in the house when I was
younger. In it was a chapter on massage techniques and how massage could have a
positive impact on the health and well-being of people. I found that very
fascinating but at the time did not think of it as a career path.
Many years later I found myself in a different place in life and also in circumstances
that allowed me to go back to school and pursue that career as a massage
therapist.
I attended the Southeastern School of
Neuromuscular Massage Therapy in Charlotte and graduated in November of 2009
with a certification in Clinical Massage Therapy. I have studied a broad range
of techniques in Clinical, Swedish relaxation; Prenatal, Sports, and Japanese
Hot stone massage therapy. I have helped people with issues of the back, hips,
shoulders, and also with endurance and performance enhancement.
My studio is located in down town
Statesville. I also work out of a wellness center in the Winston-Salem area
when needed as well as a nationally recognized massage and skin therapy chain
in the Clemmons area.
