At a young age, I dedicated my life to helping others in whatever way I could; whether it was through humor, an activity, a shoulder to lean on, or just being the safe space for someone to vent; I made myself available as a helper of emotional release. Throughout my ever-changing youth, it was one of the best qualities that stayed consistent with the person I was growing into. After moving back to the US from China in 2012, I spent copious amount of time meditating. It wasn't until repeated sessions that I was pulled by my Spirit to look into healing by touch therapy. 


After touring the Utah College of Massage Therapy (UCMT) in August of 2012, I knew I was in the right place for the next chapter of my life. Everything about Massage Therapy felt so natural for me. Learning the techniques came easier than expected for me. It was more like remembering an old life from another time and less practicing foreign movements. To this day, I am confident in my career decision. I eat, sleep, and breathe massage therapy. I believe in the work it does, I've witnessed the work it can provide to somebody who has lost all hope. I have seen the impossible become possible through the art of bodywork. 

In 2015, I received an opportunity to move to Connecticut to become the Sports Therapist for New York City Football Club. After two seasons, I wanted to be able to spend more time furthering my education, so I took the risk and I opened up a private practice here in Stamford! It was a risk worth taking, as I am allowed the time to work with clients more in depth and be a guide for them to obtain their health goals while utilizing my free time to study more techniques, finding more resources, and getting diversified in the holistic health industry through the education of different health practices, such as Yoga and Alternative Medicine. 

My goal as a practitioner and a human is to show you the power you have within yourself to create the life you want. I strive to help you harness the energy of the Phoenix to rebuild yourself as the person you want to be. I believe in people and I believe in this work. My goal is to provide safety, comfort, challenges, and an unforgettable experience. It is my hope that working with me will give you a greater sense of confidence when listening to your body and understanding what it truly needs to be functional.

ReAL Salt Lake - Sports Therapist Intern

With a lot of studying and hard work, I have been so thankful to have the opportunity to work with the Major League Soccer team of Salt Lake City as a Sports Therapist. Working in cooperation with Physical Therapists and Athletic Directors, I was able to help keep the players in shape by adhering to the vulnerability in the muscles as well as keeping the muscles in top performance shape. I learned injuries are almost inevitable and the goal isn't just to prevent them as much as possible, but to figure out a strategy in order to help somebody recover as adequately and quickly as possible.

New York City Football Club - Sports Therapist

I moved to New York in 2015 with the chance to be the Sports Therapist for the Major League Soccer team NYCFC. I had an even greater opportunity to perform more bodywork than I did before and to work directly with the Athletic Director to go over notes, health cards, and any additional bodily concerns pertaining to the players. I gained more freedom in my sessions to be able to incorporate out of the box techniques in order to help somebody recover quickly and efficiently.

What a compassionate, healing presence Ashlyn has - as well as excellent massage skills. I appreciated how collaborative she made the experience - I have a specific old injury that needs work, and she clearly explained how she would work the area going forward to help me regain range of motion. Also, the office dog is an angel ????

Ashlyn was amazing! I went in with serious back pain and came out feeling anew. I got the deep tissue massage and Ashlyn's pressure and technique was great. I booked another session right away to get to the root of my back pain.
