Hello, my name is Maggie Abraham, and Wild Moon Massage Therapy, LLC is my independent massage practice.
Before learning massage therapy, I worked for roughly six years in the nursing home/physical rehabilitation setting as a certified nursing assistant. For a year and a half of that time, I worked as a medication technician, as well. My jobs in the nursing field have taught me an endless amount about myself, serving others, and what "hard work" truly means. In the beginning, my goal had been to become a nurse, but once I transitioned into administering medications, I realized that I enjoyed the intimacy of assisting residents with activities of daily living and direct patient care significantly more. Overall, the experience has shown me that my real skill and ambition lies in helping others to feel better in a more personal and "hands-on" manner, which brought me to my career in massage and bodywork.

Contemporary Cupping Methods
I began my career in massage therapy as an independent contractor, providing massages for another business. During this time, I really refined my personal style and skills, developing the insight and approach I currently possess. I learned cupping therapy (becoming a certified cupping therapist), gua sha and scraping techniques, how to more effectively release trigger points and tension in the muscles and fascia, and how to more effectively address certain areas of pain and previous injury. Throughout my experience as an independent contractor, I primarily worked with athletic clients, people who regularly run or bicycle, weightlifters, those with injuries, and clients that have acquired pain overtime through postural habits and daily activities. The majority of massage and bodywork I preformed consisted of deep tissue, trigger point therapy, cupping therapy, concentrated hot stone massage, and focus to the low back, hip, neck, and shoulder regions.
