Hello, my name is Maggie Abraham, and Wild Moon Massage Therapy, LLC is my independent massage practice.

Before learning massage therapy, I worked for roughly six years in the nursing home/physical rehabilitation setting as a certified nursing assistant.  For a year and a half of that time, I worked as a medication technician, as well.  My jobs in the nursing field have taught me an endless amount about myself, serving others, and what "hard work" truly means.  In the beginning, my goal had been to become a nurse, but once I transitioned into administering medications, I realized that I enjoyed the intimacy of assisting residents with activities of daily living and direct patient care significantly more.  Overall, the experience has shown me that my real skill and ambition lies in helping others to feel better in a more personal and "hands-on" manner, which brought me to my career in massage and bodywork.
I specialize most in addressing pain and previous injuries, deep tissue massage, low back/illiopsoas work, and cupping therapy.  My primary objective with massage therapy is to achieve beneficial changes within the body that last long enough to have a positive impact on the client's quality of life on a daily basis.  Due to my educational background and interest in biology, the science behind massage and bodywork guides the majority of my treatment choices.  The anatomy, physiology, and feedback from the body influence the techniques I use, where I use them, and what steps to take next.  My hands feel and "listen" for changes in the muscles and fascia, indicating how my work is effecting the body.   I truly believe the massage and bodywork that I provide can't "heal" or "fix" the body, but can promote the body to heal and remodel itself.   I manipulate the tissues with the intention of encouraging them to release, unwind, and, overtime, let go of patterns that inhibit proper function and cause pain.

Independent Contractor- Licensed Massage Therapist

I began my career in massage therapy as an independent contractor, providing massages for another business. During this time, I really refined my personal style and skills, developing the insight and approach I currently possess. I learned cupping therapy (becoming a certified cupping therapist), gua sha and scraping techniques, how to more effectively release trigger points and tension in the muscles and fascia, and how to more effectively address certain areas of pain and previous injury. Throughout my experience as an independent contractor, I primarily worked with athletic clients, people who regularly run or bicycle, weightlifters, those with injuries, and clients that have acquired pain overtime through postural habits and daily activities. The majority of massage and bodywork I preformed consisted of deep tissue, trigger point therapy, cupping therapy, concentrated hot stone massage, and focus to the low back, hip, neck, and shoulder regions.

Just tell her what hurts. She will work it. Or, go for a relaxation massage. I almost fell asleep.

Excellent is my review! I had received the 90 minute Anti-aging Facial Cupping Treatment as a gift certificate to Wild Moon Massage Therapy for Mother's Day. The certificate was good indefinitely but being excited I made my appointment asap. Maggie's professionalism, thorough questionnaire, and openness to communicate for any questions gave me full confidence in this new for me treatment. I LOVE MY RESULTS!!! It was noninvasive. With no marks on my face at all. What I noticed... My pores diminished. My eyes lifted and wrinkles around them diminished. Forehead lines disappeared, cheeks more full (instead of sunken in.) No more puff pockets and undereye circles. Cat lines around the mouth and underneath especially diminished. My jaw in better alignment. Double chin tightened and lifted with a much more smooth neck and decolllette. I had no side effects or pain during or after treatment. No allergies or fears. I am extremely happy with my results and will always trust Wild Moon Massage Therapy for my Anti-aging treatments. Thank you so much😊
