Hello there!

I am a Certified Massage Therapist in the South Portland area, and graduated from the Wellness Massage Center & Institute in St. Albans, VT, in November 2016. My massage sessions draw upon a variety of modalities such as Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Phenomenal Touch, Hot Stone Massage, and Cupping. Meeting new people and helping others through massage brings me a good deal of joy! It would be a great privilege to meet with you and address the needs of your body, whether it be with Deep Tissue/Sports massage, a relaxing Swedish massage, or an integrated cupping session.

A little about me: I have lived most of my life in Vermont, enjoying the beautiful outdoors. After attending culinary arts school for four years, I enjoyed cooking professionally for fourteen years. However, I felt it was time to open a new chapter in my life, and decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. I am truly looking forward to my continued journey in this field!

Michael is both experienced and expert at his craft -- he listens very carefully to what his clients request, and his attention to his clients' specific needs and his skill at alleviating muscular difficulties are unmatched in my experience.

Michael is careful to ask if there are any areas that need special attention, though he’s very capable of finding them himself. Great conversation if you choose, but not necessary.

The 60 minutes felt so good, I extended the session to 90 minutes. So relaxing!

It was my first massage experience and Michael regularly checked in with me to determine if the treatment was comfortable while still being effective.

I came to Michael facing a possible shoulder surgery. Michael helped me deal with the pain and found different ways to help remediate the issue while I was also having physical therapy. I am happy to say I did not need the surgery in the end, and I believe part of that had to do with all the research and assistance I received from Michael.

Michael's holistic approach and expertise are what finally shifted my mindset from massage being a "splurge" to acknowledging its importance to overall health and wellbeing.

As a fitness professional for the past two decades, I have worked with a number of massage therapists, and Michael is truly one of the best! Extremely knowledgeable in both physiology and technique, he offers both therapy and relaxation — not an easy task during a deep tissue massage session.
