Sharlene Hosek was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. After graduating from Honoka'a High School, she moved to New York City to attend the prestigious Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences, where she trained extensively in both Western Physiology and Eastern Philosophy.
Her education and career have taken her across the globe — studying Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand; interning with the Chinese Olympic Team in Beijing; and training under master teachers in Hawaii, California, and New York.
Since becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2000, Sharlene has worked in world-class spas, hospitals, and private practices — including The Waldorf Astoria in NYC, The Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii, and The Firebrand Hotel Spa in Montana. She opened her first private practice, Asian Pacific Massage, in 2005 in Kamuela, Hawaii, and now owns and operates Legendary Massage Therapy in Bowman, North Dakota.
Sharlene specializes in therapeutic, medical massage for chronic pain, injury recovery, and restoring healthy movement. Her integrative approach blends Eastern and Western techniques including Deep Tissue, Tuina, Thai, Shiatsu, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and more.
In addition to hands-on therapy, Sharlene is also a Business Coach for healthcare practitioners through her mentorship program, Idea Realized, helping others create intentional and fulfilling careers.
Sharlene is deeply grateful to her mentors who shaped her path and practice.
