Everybody needs a little "R & R"

I have been a licensed massage therapist since February 2009.  I can remember being in 3rd grade and massaging my teachers.  I have always been passionate about natural healing.  I truly believe the body can heal itself and massage therapy can help get there faster.

I have been a licensed massage therapist since February 2009.  I can remember being in 3rd grade and massaging my teachers.  I have always been passionate about natural healing.  I truly believe the body can heal itself and massage therapy can help get there faster.

One of my favorite testimonies from a client is that with regular massage with me, he was able to avoid having shoulder surgery.  He was finally able to throw the ball for his dog again. Another is that a client was able to come off of several prescription medications after receiving massage at least once a month.  Stories like that really warm my heart and keep me encouraged to do what I love so dearly.

After working closely with Sharon Holt, who became my sister-in-law after 5 years of working together, my husband and I have now opened our own business.  We are a family run business and believe in supporting our local community.

Craniosacral Therapy

I received my certificate in Craniosacral Therapy in 2012. CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

Chair Massage

Chair Massage is a style of seated massage that is typically short -- 10 or 15 minutes -- and focuses on your back, shoulders and neck and arms. Chair massage is done over clothes and doesn't require any massage oil. I have performed Chair Massage an many events. I first volunteered for chair massage at the Titans' games while I was in Massage school. I have been a part of the Audiomasters Golf Tournament (providing chair massage at hole 4) for 5 years. My chair is easily transported, which means you could receive this service at my office or yours!

Hot Stone Massage

We use the "Basalt Lava Stones" on the back to create a moist heat to calm the nervous system, relieve tight and sore muscles, and relieve stress!

Pregnancy

We use the "Prego Pillow" so that you can lay safely and comfortably without having to move around a lot. Recommended once a month for an easier delivery.

Myoskeletal Alignment

Myo-skeletal Alignment Therapy is a type of bodywork often integrated with massage sessions manipulating muscles, fascia and skeletal systems with the goal of promoting musculo-skeletal health. The musculo-skeletal system when weakened produces stress in the neck and back which contributes to tight and stressed muscles causing pain and limited freedom of movement. This is turn leads to stiffness and posture problems which sometimes create an endless cycle of pain.

Cupping Methods

Cupping massage (as seen on the 2016 summer Olympics) is technique that has been used for about 5000 years. By using a vacuum technique to create a "negative" pressure, there is increased circulation, blood flow, more oxygen to the muscles; all which help to break down knots, scar tissue, relieve muscle tension. Client's often experience a "sedating effect" and typically sleep very well that night. (Not to mention it feels great) It is a suction on the skin, so there is potential marks to be left. I like to call them "Cup Kisses". Usually these marks will go away within the week.
