Katherine Nelson has always been passionate about the therapeutic effects of body work and began her training in massage therapy in 2004 with Pheobe Diftler at White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. She studied Thai Yoga Therapy (Thai Massage) earning a certificate of completion equivalent to in-depth courses taught in Thailand. Also interested in Ayurveda, Katherine continued her studies in Canada learning Heated Stone Abyhanga, Pinda Sweda and Indian Head Massage. Her desire to continue learning more techniques inspired her to enroll in the Massage Therapy Program at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in Southern California. Over the course of almost two years Katherine graduated from Healing Hands in April 2016 and is currently working out of her home studio on 13th and State in Skagway, Alaska. Katherine continues to regularly seek education in her field and has completed the Secrets of Deep Tissue with Robert Hasse and is certified in intraoral massage to treat TMJ disorders. Katherine is a member of ABMP and licensed to practice in the state of Alaska #115588. Katherine is also a certified 500 E-RYT Yoga Teacher with 19 years of teaching experience and offers private sessions for developing personal home yoga practices to reduce stress and tension and correct unbalanced holding patterns in the body. Katherine’s teachers include Sivananda, Judith Hanson Lasater, Donna Farhi, Ganga White, Stephanie Adams, Adi Vajra, Maty Ezraty, Eddie Modestini, Gary Kraftsow, Brian Kest, SarahJoy, Beth Smith, Janet Stone, and Bernie Clark.

Katherine was incredible! I got the massage and sauna combo and the pampering massage. They were both so incredible. I went in feeling stressed and I left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. Everything from the pressure, ambiance, products, etc. are perfect. I cant wait to go back and it will definitely be a regular part of my self care routine.

Got the honey facial, it’s exquisite. I have written past reviews regarding Katherine’s unparalleled massage, am now in love with her facials! It’s multi stepped to clear the pours, tone the face with acupuncture and massage, the products are all nourishing my derma!!! 3 days later, my skin is still glowing. Purchased the combo to prep my face for a holiday glow up!
