I graduated in 1996 from Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy with over 1100 hours of training in Neuromuscular Therapy. I later took level 1 Cranial Sacral from the Upledger Institute. I became a Massage Therapist after I saw the benefits it offered my small children with their earaches and through their various sports injuries. Massage was so beneficial to prevent injuries and to help their body heal when they did get an injury. I spent 2 years in a Physical Therapy setting offering specific massage services to post surgical and post injury clients. I worked in conjunction with many Chiropractors to ease the clients treatments by their Chiropractors. Loosening the muscles prior to treatment, makes the overall treatment less painful and it lasts much longer. I found my true passion when I became a Massage Therapist, and I look forward to meeting you to help you in your life journey of being pain free.

Massage Therapy
I was part of a team who worked on Marathon runners who ran the Pikes Peak marathon and half-marathon. It was such a privilege to see these fine athletes finish their races. Our group gave massages to those who had finished that race, moving the calcium and other chemical reactions of running in their tired muscles. The process would allow their muscles to heal faster post-race.
Many of the Doctors of Chiropractic who I had the pleasure to work in conjunction, mentioned to me that they preferred their patients receive a massage within 3 days prior to their sessions. The outcomes of the Chiropractic treatments following a deep tissue massage were less painful for the patient and they would make the treatments more effective. It was also easier on the Chiropractor's body to give the manipulations
I love Cranial Sacral, it's not a traditional massage, but it is powerful since it warms and loosens the fascia. I've used some of the techniques to help prevent ear infections in small children and in adults. I have also used Cranial Sacral techniques to help align hips and to release scar tissue in the abdomen for a woman in her 60's that had dealt with a nagging pain for over 20 years.
More recently I worked in a clinic with a Chiropractor and exercises to help victims of an automobile accident during their recovery. Because of my specific training, I could target the correct muscles as well as provide the patient with exercises and stretches to help them with pain relief and normal muscle functionality.
I was a CNA in Colorado during my year of training in Massage Therapy. I would often offer massage therapy to the residents of a local nursing home on my days off. Giving massages to the patients helped them emotionally by providing much-needed touch, it helped their skin integrity and muscle tonicity if they were bedridden. As an intern during my time at CIMT, I worked in an ICU unit to help patients experience less pain, helping their recovery process speed up. It amazes me how a soft touch will override the pain cycles and give so much relief.
