My name is Johanna Landrey and I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since the summer of 2015. I have experience working in both spa and therapeutic massage settings. I tend to have a therapeutic approach to my massage. My work is influenced by Tom Myer’s book Anatomy Trains and I like to do deep, muscle specific work to help bring balance to the body.
Beyond the more standard skillset there are several techniques I like to include in my sessions. I’m skilled in cupping therapy and strongly believe in its benefits. I am effective in treating TMJD and migraine headaches. I work with a lot of athletes and weekend warriors, many of whom return for my focused work through legs, hips and lower back. Although I am more treatment oriented I do create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience and I always work within the comfort level of my clients.
I have come to realize my own goals and confidence in the search for balance and peace within my body and daily life. I have dedicated this year to personal growth and healing through bodywork and the regular practice of yoga and strength training. I took a deep dive into the insecurities that have fueled my limiting beliefs. I have never felt more connected, aware and receptive to those around me and myself. It has been a transformative year for me and I’m prepared to encourage others through my work as a massage therapist.
