My name is Michelle L. Engler and I'm a licensed massage practitioner. I have been licensed for 8 years now after graduating from Brian Utting School of Massage (now known as Cortiva Institute).
My experience includes:
Monroe Therapeutic Massage in the Medical Dental building for 5 1/2 years performing medical and injury treatment massage. I worked in conjunction with doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors and various other health professionals to restore clients to pre-injury and pre-surgical condition.
Massage Envy on Capitol Hill in the Broadway Market for 6 years, 5 1/2 years as Lead Therapist. I gained experience in various modalities and spa treatments treating clients involved in sports and vigorous activities to relaxation and everything in between. I was Therapist of the Year 3 years running, 2008, 2009, 2010 and Therapist of the quarter 4 times.
My private practice has been here since the beginning of my career. I focused on gaining knowledge and experience over the years at the clinics. I have had several regular clients I would see outside of my clinic schedules.
In February 2014 I decided to make the jump to my private practice full time. I averaged 50-55 hours of hands on times per week for the past 4 1/2 years between the three locations. I still plan to work full time but my goal is to go down to 30-40 hours per week and spend more time enjoying life and family.
In that time I have performed over 13,000 documented hours of hands-on experience honing my skills. I specialize in deep pressure, deep tissue, sports massage, injury treatment, reflexology, pre- & postnatal-pregnancy, relaxation, and hot stone massage, and am proficient in many other modalities.
My office is located on Capitol Hill at 12th and Pine in the Richmark Building. I have openings 6 days a week , morning, afternoon, and early evening to accommodate your work/life schedule.
