Megan Metcalf has been a licensed massage therapist and studying anatomy for over 10 years. With an early focus on injury rehab, neuromuscular, active isolated stretching, and lymphatic drainage, she worked in a physical therapy setting for 5 years. The body has an amazing capability and desire to heal itself when things are just as they should be. Reoccurring issues and chronic conditions often need more than just physical adjusting. She has since furthered her studies to include a 500 hour yoga certification and more energetic approach to healing. Meditation and the ability to focus is a crucial component caring for ourselves. It is a practice and skill that can be achieved by anyone and it’s more than OK if you need help honing those skills! There is no 1 answer for every person or problem. Looking at each case as an individual opportunity to create balance within a being by addressing all components of their life. One breath at a time. Our life and well being is comprised of the way we are living, the thoughts we are having, the environment we inhabit, and the way we perceive our experiences. If we are in physical pain, that hijacks our life. We start at looking to ease sensation so we can address what is causing the pain. It may be postural, or emotional, or both, or neither. All pain and suffering has an energetic origin. This means to heal our bodies and minds we must not only focus on the physical and anatomical discomforts to get full relief, but we must explore the origin of the discomfort. Whether a car wreck, divorce, child hood trauma, and everything in between, if it hasn’t been properly dealt with and released, it wil fester in our bodies and minds causing pain and imbalance. “I love community working together to accentuate each other’s strengths and make the world a better place. It starts with creating balance within.”
