Mary comes to the massage field after 25 years working as a residential architect, martial artist and lifelong fitness and nutrition enthusiast. It was her years of training in the Martial Arts that led her to delve deeper into understanding the body and how movement and bodywork are paramount to balancing body, mind and spirit. Mary graduated from the Massage Institute of Cape Cod where she learned Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Hot/Cold Stone Massage, Chair Massage and Pregnancy Massage. Her interest and passion of Asian Arts led her on a 6 month journey to Asia to learn other modalities such as Medical Massage Tui Na, Tong Ren, Thai Massage, Letha Yoga (partner assisted yoga), Dhanda Yoga (yoga done with long stick), Longi Yoga (yoga done with a sash or rope), and Chi Nei Tsang (massage for the abdomen and visceral organs). Mary resides in Sarasota, Florida and is a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals [ABMP]. In addition to being a Massachusetts [#13130] and Florida [#96170] licensed Massage Therapist, Mary holds certificates in Reiki, Qigong, M.E.C.A. Back Wedge, Oncology Massage, Cupping, Thai Massage, Tong Ren and The Reconnective Healing.
