Emily is a California Certified Massage Therapist with over 650 hours of training and more then 6 years of practicing massage therapy in Santa Cruz. She blends her extensive knowledge of the body with an intuitive touch and two years of somatic psychology/ Energy work training. Using swedish, deep tissue, cranial sacral and myofascial techniques blended to each individual needs, she works to release patterns of stress and tension allowing for more ease, flexibility and joy in her clients bodies and their lives. Her work includes slow deep pressure that stretches and opens the body and a nurturing attention allowing space for the body to truly unwind and re-align to its naturally healthy and easeful state. She provides an experience that is both effective in relieving chronic pain and injury, and is soothing and revitalizing to the nervous system

Outstanding!

Emily really knows what she's doing. Excellent at both deep tissue and cranial sacral. Much more than a relaxing massage (which it is), but genuinely therapeutic.

Only that the heating pad was too warm for me but I will let Emily know next time.

I had not experienced a massage in more than 20 years because the last one caused bruising for more than a week and I thought, "If this is massage, then it sure isn't for me." However, on vacation I was also buying a house and caring for a very, very sick dog when I awoke with horrible back and chest pains at 4 a.m. Because of my good health I assumed it to be stress related and found Emily Pugh online. Wow, 180 degree difference. She listened to me chatter away about my life and worries while she concentrated on some chronic knots in my middle back. By the time the hour was up I had no pain. I hadn't realized how knotted my movement was until Emily gave me back a flexible spine without any pain at all. She suggested some things to help along the way, using a tennis ball to massage out problem areas, yoga, ballet, all of which I find very appealing. I'll be here a bit longer and I hope to see her again. She is absolutely excellent.

I didn't like the Shea butter instead of oil. It requires a shower after the massage. Otherwise, massage was good.

I love getting massaged by Emily! She always brings such healing energy to our sessions and is very intuitive as to where to focus the body work. In summarization: Emily is awesome :)

I came in with a lot of pain in my shoulder from a cross country flight. It is two days later and I am totally pain free. I am so grateful for Emily's skill and tenderness in her work on me. Would recommend highly...

I love the long, deep, slow strokes. She seems to know where I need attention

Emily is my new massage hero! She thoroughly discussed the areas in which I was experiencing pain and paid special attention to these areas during my massage, as well as gave me stretching and pain relief tips to do at home. I feel much better and can't wait for my next massage!
