Neuromuscular

The understanding of H.O.P.R.S (History, Observation, Palpation, Range of Motion, and Special Tests) to know how to apply the tools of neuromuscular therapy in a specific and targeted manner. -Applying Trigger Point Therapy to alleviate myofascial pain caused by spasm at the neuromuscular junction. -Multi-directional Deep Transverse Friction to decrease and re-align scar tissue throughout the healing process. -Lymphatic Massage techniques to decrease the edema and metabolic waste that can accumulate during healing. -Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation to help the nervous system communicate more effectively with the musculoskeletal system. -Understanding that sometimes, the best “neuromuscular” approach might be a relaxing Swedish or Energy Massage until the client’s body is ready to receive more targeted modalities.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

Alyssa is so knowledgeable of the human body and she continues to pursue higher education with great success. Not only is she fabulous with her technique she can also impart wisdom to care for your body. Alyssa has healed areas of my body with therapy that doctors just wanted to use medication. Regular therapeutic massage with her would be to anyone’s benefit especially if you’re active. I can praise her enough, she is my first and only choice in therapy and I’ve seen many!

I took a chance as I desperately needed some work done quickly and Alyssa was absolutely incredible with finding the spots that caused my pain issues and on top of that was able to give me after care tips. She is very calming, caring and professional and I will give her a shout out to anyone who is in need of any kind of muscular work done. Thank you Alyssa, what you did has really helped already and I will continue to use the advice you gave me for further maintenance until I see you again!

Fantastic experience, as always. Alyssa has this magical healing touch and always finds the spots to relieve sore muscles. It's not just a feel-good massage as in many other places, it is really therapeutic and each time there is progress in my body, posture, energy etc over last time.
