This was my first deep tissue massage, but it was rather painful and the masseuse never checked in with me on how the pressure was; there were times she'd lean her forearm on me with lots of body weight directly onto my neck for quite a long time and it was extremely uncomfortable (2 days later, I'm still super stiff from it). Once the massage was over, there was an awkward period of her trying to figure out how to charge me/utilize my gift card/run the first time client promotion. When we finally got that worked out, she asked what I'd like to tip. I prefer, in all situations, to have that decision left up to me, not asked directly by the person wanting the tip; and she didn't ask if I'd like to tip, she asked what I'd like to tip. I do always tip, but the direct, presumptuous manner in which she asked actually negatively affected her tip amount.
I think this is a great location, it just needs a few tweaks. Warm towels, more spa like options and a smoother exit payment wise. Good luck on your new business! :)
