I was brought up in the Black Hills of South Dakota where I played lots of sports and took music lessons. In 2001 I put down roots in Portland, Oregon, where I played in bands, worked in food/beverage service, and earned BA's in Psychology and Spanish at Portland State University. In 2017 it was time for a change of scenery. My partner took a job in Napa county and we moved down to California. This transition to a new state motivated me to seek a more meaningful career in massage. I have always had a strong desire to learn and to be of service to others. I attended National Holistic Institute College of Massage Therapy in Petaluma/Santa Rosa where I graduated with honors. Today I endeavor to bring a sense of curiosity, creativity, and wholeheartedness to all that lies ahead. I want to commend you for seeking massage and making a choice for improved health and well-being through bodywork. In today's world it's easy to lose touch with our bodies and what they're trying to tell us until they reach a state of chronic pain and discomfort. While massage has been shown to reduce pain and improve overall wellness, it also provides an opportunity to increase our knowledge and understanding of our bodies and the ways that we use them. Through therapeutic massage I endeavor to help my clients become more familiar with their bodies and to facilitate a better understanding of how to bring their bodies into a greater state of balance. I am trained in a number of modalities including swedish, deep tissue, myofascial therapy, sports massage, shiatsu, thai, and lymphatic massage.
