I have been practicing Massage Therapy since January 2005. I am licensed in Massage Therapy #11316, Certified in Aromatherapy and an active member in the Oregon Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
I graduated with 805 hours of massage training from Ashmead School of Massage. I have also studied Aromatherapy through the Somatic Institution and am currently in school working towards my Associates in Applied Science in Complimentary Alternitive Medicine with a double major in Herbs and Aromatherapy. I am studying at the American College of Healthcare Sciences in Portland, OR.
I believe in the combination of modalities to help my clients as everyone is different and may need different treatments. While I have many clients that come in and ask for a specific modality massage, most of them receive a combination of therapeutic massage techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, or Myofacial Release. I use many different modalities depending on what the body tells me it needs to help aid in the healing of the mind, body and spirit.
Through the course of learning massage therapy I was able to find my path in life. I found I had a gift and yearning for natural healing. As soon as I could I studied and became certified in Aromatherapy. Through that training, research and possibly my Native American background I decided that Herbal remedies and anything natural was the way to be. I found my passion. I wanted to do more for my current and future clients than just working on muscles I wanted to work on the whole body. So I am currently in school to receive my Associate of Applied Science in Complimentary Alternative Medicine to become a Registered Master Herbalist, and Aromatherapist, Holistic Health Practitioner and possibly on to my PHD in Holistic Health. I believe in the treatment of the whole body inside and out for living a long, healthy and happy life.
