The first college I attended was Doane College in Crete, NE. I was there for two years before I transferred to Southwest Minnesota
State University in Marshall, MN. Because of my fascination with everything life has to offer, I had a difficult time trying to figure out
what to major and minor in. Music Education was my very first major and from there I had various combinations of theater, Spanish,
English, religion, radio/TV communications, graphic design, American Indian Studies, and art. The fall of 2001 held an experience
that changed my life.
One of my dorm neighbors had some issues going on with her big toe. At the time we believed it to be a big bunion though looking
back on it I believe it was actually dislocated. I couldn't help myself one night. She allowed me to massage her toe and foot for over
2 hours! The next morning she came up to me and asked what I did. She stuck her foot out at me and her toe looked back to
normal! I felt a light bulb turn on and I knew I was being shown my path.
I figured it would be wise to finish my bachelor's degree, so I sat down and calculated how many credits I had in what subjects.
According to my credits, I was able to get my Bachelor's degree in Theater, English with an emphasis in creative writing, and Art.
I continue to enjoy making music, writing, doing various arts and crafts in my spare time. I also enjoy reading, camping, playing
games, traveling, being with my family and friends, hiking, cross-country skiing, and going to the gym.
