Andrea Baggott is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. She graduated from both - Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy and Mahoning Valley School of Massotherapy. She is also a professional member with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Since obtaining her license, she took additional training including the following: Ashiatsu, Myofascial Release and Aromatherapy. Andrea understands that Massage is not the same for everyone, that is a need to “read” the person’s body and get connected to the unique needs of everyone. She believes that incorporating different modalities into each session makes it custom and unique to the person receiving it.
She also takes her 10 years of experience in fitness and exercise to understand how each body reacts to therapy, especially athletes and active people. According to Andrea, “There is a unique way to improve performance by assessing the client pre and pos-workout. Massage therapy with passive stretching is one of the best ways to improve agility as well as flexibility”.
Andrea also is an Integrated Nutritional Health Coach, certified by the Institute for Integrated Nutrition (IIN). Again, also in the coaching area, she understands that each person is in a unique journey and in different parts of their path. She makes sure to meet them where they are and build sustainable and achievable plans with the best outcome in mind. “Sometimes is necessary to focus on what can be done instead of what needs to be done first, then, just then, we can work on other areas because their self-steam gets established and stronger first, facilitating changes and improvement”.
‘I used to believe that massage was for rich people who could spend the day at the spa with cucumbers on their eyes. Now I know how much it can benefit all people’s lives – seniors with pain, athletes with concussions, women with headaches or menstrual cramps, men with arthritis. Even pregnant people and infants have their own modalities to rely on. Massage therapy has a powerful impact on people’s lives and I just want to be able to contribute - one body at a time”.
