When treating a person for pain It is not possible to separate mind/body/spirit

I came into body work late in life. After 28-years as an engineer the call to do something different awakened interests long forgotten. Integrating what I learned as an operating room technician while I was an undergraduate with the problem solving skills of engineering the fascinating world of bodywork opened up a whole new world for me.

I hold a patent for instrumentation that reads the subtle energy generated during energy healing. My PhD integrated physiology, psychology and electrical engineering....a blend that has only come into its own in recent years.

The work I provide incorporates elements of structural engineering, looking for the place where the body is aligned and free from undue stress. The techniques I use are based in current science related to physiology and facial research. Styles are integrated based on what the tissue needs to return to normal function; that may be a session with as many as six different approaches to bring the body back into alignment.

Beyond the hands on bodywork I read and work with the subtle energies. My training incorporates spiritual / shamanic approaches to bringing an individual back into balance. My training started with a Hawaiian Kahuna named David Kaonohiokala Bray (Daddy Bray) when I was in my early 20 s. Since that time I've studied with a number of healers and sages taking what works and applying it to my clients as needed.

I have over 2000 hours of accredited training:
Neuromuscular therapy - Paul St. John (therapist to Miami Dophins)
Medical Massage -- Dale Perry (therapist to US Olympic Swim Team, Seattle Sonics, Stanford swim and dive teams)
Lymphatic Drainage - Klose
Osteopathic approaches to treatment - URSA Foundation and Kinections
Craniosacral Therapy - Massage Therapy Institute - Davis CA
Rational Cranial Osteopathy - Fred Mitchell, DO

REVIEWS for my massage services

I have seen Diane over a 14 year period with problems that were not resolved by traditional medical care e.g. back and neck issues I refused surgery for these problems because of the invasive nature of these procedures and possible long term side effects post surgery. That's when a friend referred me to Diane. Every time I have visited her I have had positive results that were better than I expected. And for me, the results have been long lasting. I sometimes revisit her for a repeat session due to the aches and pain from my competitive nature. I am an active 69 year old who enjoys walking, lifting weights and rock climbing. I have recommended Diane to some of my friends, both male and female. They told me they had similar results and thanked me for the referral.

She explained everything she was doing and why, which gave me greater understanding of her method of treatment and healing goal.

Diane is wonderful. She has a truly diverse skill set that allows her to bring your body into alignment and harmony. She also understands the interplay of emotions, chemical reactions, and physical responses.

This was amazing! I’ve been seeing doctors, physical therapists, and other medical specialists for 5 months now following an auto accident. In one appointment, Diane relieved the constant pressure on my brain and helped me regain neck and shoulder ROM. Amazing!
