My name is Sarah and I come from a small town in northern Michigan. I am one of the lucky ones that have always known what they wanted to do in life from a young age. Since I can remember I have always had this inner need to help people and throughout high school I became involved with the national honors society which entails multiple hours of volunteer work. I enjoyed impacting various groups of people's lives but it was around this time that I realized that I wanted to help people on a more individualized level. Massage therapy is my niche that I am fully passionate about not only for its rewarding benefits but also for the fact that massage helps facilitate the body's own healing on a natural level. From there I made the move to attend school for massage therapy, participating in various volunteer events such as the Holistic Nurses Conference and the Diabetes Tour de Cure in Ann Arbor. Since then I have not only learned about but witnessed the benefits massage therapy has to offer. I am now a licensed massage therapist that specializes in Swedish and deep tissue therapy on a neuromuscular level and craniosacral therapy to decrease muscle pain, muscle tension, and improve range of motion. I can incorporate multiple techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial work, muscle energy techniques, and muscle firing patterns when necessary. Besides massage therapy I love traveling, hiking, especially in the upper peninsula, music, and theatre.

First time getting a massage with Sarah, she talked to me for a few minutes to understand exactly what I was looking for, and provided me exactly what I needed. She was also willing to chat when I engaged, but, also willing to work on me in silence when I needed that.

Excellent communication and care.

before we even got started she asked if i needed to go to the restroom which i appreciated because she asked before i did. at the beginning of the massage she asked if the pressure was ok. i responded that it was. she then asked if i wanted LIGHTER pressure & I did. i feel like i'm weak with pressure & that whatever the therapist starts with is how it should be. i was incorrect in saying what i did and her clarification was what i actually needed. i was asked to leave feedback for how i felt afterward: the following day i felt some tightness between my shoulders but i think that was due to propping myself in bed the night before instead of getting my chairback cushion. my neck area did feel LESS tight than before the massage.

Sarah was very receptive to my issues and when I asked about like what was being done and what I could do to help mitigate my pain. She asked a ton of questions, was informative on what was being done, and really understands how to help people.

Sarah listens well and knows exactly what to do. She is more than willing to answer questions. She gets results.
