Janine Ray, LMT - TX #0924 was originally trained and certified in Northern California. She sold her clinic in Northwest Austin in December of 2014, after serving there since 1984.  Janine is certified inCrossfiber Corrective Muscle Therapy®, and was personally mentored byVictoria Ross, one of the two Master Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® instructors in the world, and the creator of  Crossfiber Corrective Muscle Therapy®. Janine is a Texas State Certified Massage Therapy Instructor (MTI#822) and Continuing Education Provider(#1720).  She is also a Nationally Certified Continuing Education Provider (#563).

Because of her passion for the work and her desire to train other therapists in learning how to deal with serious muscle conditions, Crossfiber Therapy training is now being offered in Texas.

History

As the Secretary for the Therapeutic Bodyworkers of Austin in 1984-85, she was involved in the political process of creating the original Massage Therapy Registration Act of Texas. She served as the Central Texas Regional Director of the Texas Association of Massage Therapists (TAMT) and on the Texas Legislative Coalition for Massage Therapy. Janine retired from serving as the Legislative Chairperson of the TAMT in 2014. She was active during the 79th Legislative session during passing of HB2696 by Rep. Anchia in 2005, which increased the education requirement for massage therapists in the State of Texas.

Janine has published articles in MassageToday.com and has been interviewed by ABMP and Massage Magazine. She has been invited to be a presenter for Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy at the TAMT Conventions and by the Panhandle Association of Massage Therapists. As a Certified Personal Trainer and a Nationally Certified Bodyworker, Janine has had much success specializing in Pain Relief and Injury Rehabilitation in her clinic in Northwest Austin.  She has now opened a "small" private practice in Round Rock, TX
