Julia Nakaan is a 1997 graduate of the Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy in New York City where she learned Swedish, ShiAtsu, Prenatal, Deep tissue and Medical Massage. After graduating, Julia moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. There, she chose to work at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess to pursue her passion of ShiAtsu massage. Julia Nakaan is a 1997 graduate of the Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy in New York City where she learned Swedish, ShiAtsu, Prenatal, Deep tissue and Medical Massage. After graduating, Julia moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. There, she chose to work at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess to pursue her passion of ShiAtsu massage. During her 7 years there, she honed her skill while adding the modalities of Hot Stone and Reflexology to her repertoire. She and her family then moved to Northern California where she worked at two other 5 star resorts in Napa Valley. After 12 years in California, she decided to return home to the east coast where she has continued her devotion to heal others through massage. With over 20 years of experience, she is thrilled to join the team at Dana Durand.

Her pressure was perfect, but she also checked in with me from time to time in order to be sure. She listened to me before the massage so she could address specific pain I was experiencing that day.
