Steve Clidas has practiced Massage Therapy since the 1980s and was one of the first Licensed Massage Therapists in Connecticut when that state went to licensing in 1993, and is now licensed in both NY and CT. Steve spent almost 20 years as a Special Education teacher in public schools in CT. His strong observation, assessment and treatment skills served him well in the classroom, and serve his clients very well today.

His work combines science, intuition, recognition of the body’s energetic nature, and hands that “see” to facilitate each client's ability to heal body, mind and spirit. After too many years in the corporate world, Steve is returning to the healing work he believes he is meant to do. 

Steve graduated from The Swedish Institute, College of Massage Therapy and Allied Health Sciences in New York City in 1993, and more recently from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage to meet NY’s licensing requirements.

Founeded in 1982, took the business from start up through development. Over time, developed strong skills in Mediclal or treatment focused massage. Worke with a number of long distance runners to provide Sports Massage during training and pre-event imd, as well as developing a Recovery Massage Protocol for post event. Also provided Swedish Massage with a focus on deep relaxation, relief from effects of stress.

I have been seeing Nick Clidas for more than six years for chronic lower back issues related to two previous surgeries. Nick has been an incredible source of medical information with detailed overviews of recurring problems, and more recently how damages incurred while waiting for hip-replacement surgery affects by back issues. His office setting is sparse, yet is a soothing atmosphere for relaxation with low lighting and gentle music playing in the background. My wife was a patient until her untimely death in a car accident and was helped enormously before and after two knee and shoulder replacement surgeries. My adult daughter and sister-in-law are also Nick's patients, so my family enjoys the expertise and professionalism he provides.

I've been working with Nick for some time. More knowledgeable than any other therapist I've worked with. He's helped me a lot with various joint/muscle issues I have had. I always leave in a very relaxed mood. Excellent.

Nick continues to impress me with his skill and ability to tease out even the tightest knots. He recently was able to rearrange his schedule to help me and he is continuing his education of anatomy to offer even more to clients.
